The Artesian has never failed to impress with their deep, rich, leather-lined space, with a few elegant sprays of flowers and ground-breaking cocktail experience. This remarkable lounge is named after the 360ft-deep artesian well under the hotel and specialises in exclusive rum creations.
Artesian at The Langham, London was voted Winner of “World’s Best Bar” for three consecutive years. Artesian launched in 2007 and has received numerous accolades including ‘Most Influential European Bar’ and ‘Best European’ Bar’ trophy at Cocktails and Spirits Awards, Paris, “World’s Best Hotel Bar” at the highly regarded Spirited Awards.
“The World’s Best Bar“, has launched its innovative new cocktail menu, themed “Unfolding and Exploring”, allowing guests to unfold new experiences and explore unusual ingredients including ash, gem-stones, larch, leather mushrooms and parsnip. Just as a fashion house launches an annual collection, Artesian launches an innovative menu each year.
Created by the multi-award winning team lead by Head Bartender, Alex Kratena, together with Simone Caporale, the new menu will further consolidate Artesian’s position as leaders of the international bar scene.
In the “Unfolding and Exploring” menu, each drink is coded according to character and depth with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails listed together.
As Kratena states: “A great dish does not necessarily contain meat, so why should every cocktail contain alcohol?”
Even the ice here is special – produced using the very latest technology, Artesian’s ice is purer, colder and with a higher density, making it last longer and your cocktails cooler.
The award winning team at the Artesian is lead by Alex Kratena, Head Bartender, and Assistant Head Bartender, Simone Caporale. The team recently collected Best International Bar Team 2014 and World’s Best Bar 2014 at the Spirited Awards in New Orleans.
Alex Kratena, Czech-born is one of the UK’s leading mixologists and has been credited for reinventing the traditional 5* Hotel Bar experience. Luxurious attention to detail is a hallmark of Kratena’s approach to mixing drinks, whilst Simone was recently awarded International Bartender of the Year 2014.
