CRN’s flagship received international recognition at the Showboats Design Awards and The World Superyachts Awards.
The 80 meter (262 ft) luxury megayacht Chopi Chopi is one of the largest yachts ever built in Italy and one of the world’s 100 largest megayachts in 2014.
The yacht’s interior has been designed by Laura Sessa and has exterior styling by Zuccon International Project.
This superyacht has been tailor made to the taste and wishes of her owner (a gentleman from the Middle East): 6 decks, one of which is for the Owner’s use only, with large interior spaces and private exterior spaces.Without a doubt, the luxury yacht is luxurious, not in any ostentatious way but in a natural way.
Conceived as a floating family house, the Chopi Chopi epitomises and develops the distinctive features of all CRN’s yachts: large volumes, spacious outdoor areas, slender lines, onboard wellbeing, art, design, unmached functionality and a constant contact with the sea.
Five decks, plus a tank deck hosting technical and service areas comprise a total surface area of about 1,900 square metres. Each deck is a different world and an important link in the whole chain, and all are connected by a wide spiral staircase. The floating home accommodates up to 12 guests at any one time and employs around 30 crew members and nine staff.
“We are proud of the Chopi Chopi and we are proud of the international awards this megayacht has been awarded. It is a pleasure for us to share our satisfaction with the owner, with Architects Giovanni and Paola Zuccon – who have taken part in the design of the exterior lines and layout – with Laura Sessa – who was in charge of interior design – with the entire Feretti Group, with our shareholder Weichai Group and, last but not least, with our employees and subcontractors, who have built this true work of art” said Lamberto Tacolli, CRN’s Chairman and CEO.
Run by twin Caterpillar 3516B-C 1640 KW@1600 RPM diesels, the 80m luxury yacht Chopi Chopi can achieve a maximum speed of 16 knots. She can comfortably cruise at 15 knots. Her beam is of 13,5m (44’3”) and her draft is of 3,4m (11’1”).
Chopi Chopi recently took home the 2014 World Yacht Trophy, accompanying its previous awards which include: Best Interior Design Award at the Showboats Design Awards 2014 category; Judges Commendation at The World Superyachts Awards 2014 and the 2013 Boat of the Year.
